AboutAt the heart of the therapeutic process is the capacity of the therapist to be present for whatever you may need to explore, to be present without judgment and without preconceptions, and with a degree of acceptance that you may have rarely, if ever, found in your daily life. Often, the capacity of a therapist to simply witness your experience, to listen with the heart as well as the head, will allow you to realize Oh, I AM here! and then to consider, develop, and implement the changes that will lead to the problem resolution and personal growth you are seeking. Once you recognize you are powerless over the behavior of others, you can find the power and capacity for change that resides within you. How many therapists does it take to change a light bulb? It doesn’t matter – the light bulb has to be willing to change! If you are willing to change, I am willing to join you. |
